I've noticed that Walter Unger's work, who btw is the hair transplanter of Hollywood types like Nicholas Cage, leaves some pretty nasty looking scars. Lokk at photo 3B. Looks like the guy had a mega session, which I think most HT's would say is a bad idea because of oxygen starvation suffered by the follicle while not attached to a blood supply. An added advantage to Gho's new technique is that transplanted follicles should have a better survival rate BECAUSE of this technique, which Ray Wood's advocates himself. Mega sessions are for greedy butchers in a hurry to clean out your wallet, regardless of your HT outcome and how many of your precious donor hairs survive the trauma of being uprooted and replanted.
I think we'll see some more of Gho's finished transplants. Hey, if he can give me a decent transplant and not leave me with several permamnent and HUMUNGOUS scars from ripping the donor hairs out of the back of my head, then that's a plus!.
I think Dr. Gho intends for this new Follicular Transplant procedure to fill in the scarred skin as a result of others bad HT work. He did say/ answer last April that hair transplants would not be necessary to fill in what HM misses otherwise.
