It's actually more potentially dangerous than HM (which isn't dangerous at all) because this involves injection of biologicals from a different species, containing very foreign antigens.

However, this shouldn't cause you to wonder why HM doesn't have "approved" status. The reasons HM isn't listed as "approved" anywhere are basically that:

(1) it probably won't require the same type of approval as a new drug or injection of biologicals from a foreign species, like the example you cited, and

(2) nobody may have even sought approval yet, either because they're not ready yet (and haven't submitted an application yet), or because they're considering my point (1).
