It's detrimental to the process of "survival of the fittest". It's working just how it's supposed to. It's just detrimental to the survival of your "fittest". You are, unfotunately, one of the ones who get weeded out.

HOWEVER. Since we've got brains and don't run on instinct alone, that doesn't play as well, so we fight. as we should.
