First, I don't think Donald Trump is wearing a hairpiece. I *believe* it's his natural hair, just a combover. I think what happened with The Donald is that he started thinning about 10-15 years ago, caught it pretty quickly and started using state-of-the-art medications like Propecia or whatever else he could get his hands on. The thinning was mostly in the front, at the hairline. But he caught it in time. He never regained much of the lost hair around the hairline, but stopped the balding process over the rest of his scalp. Therefore he uses his ample hair from the sides to come and conceal the frontal area. But he can't comb his "do" in a way like most non-balding men would, which would show some of his hairline. He has to hide the hairline area.
On your larger point, I've thought about this and I think there's a huge fallacy in expecting all balding men, even famous millionaires, to take state-of-the-art measures, including HT, medications, and new cures like HM.
A lot of people here posit the following: There are a lot of wealthy, famous men (Hollywood actors, millionaires, etc.) who have been balding or bald for a long time, and are still balding. If HM were available -- publicly or through some secret, exclusive source unavailable to most of the public -- then these men would DEFINITELY jump at the chance to get HM. Then they would all have full heads of hair, which would prove that HM is being offered somewhere. Since many (or the vast majority) of these men whom you would expect to turn up with full heads of hair (Kelsey Grammer, Cal Ripken, Sean Connery, Jason Alexander, Bruce Willis, Billy Bob Thornton all come to mind) -- since they all seem to have no more hair today than they did a few years ago, HM must not be available anywhere, because if it were, they'd have gotten it.
I think this is a big FALLACY. You can't simply assume all these guys would get HM done. Many of them are so rich and successful, so happily married and satisfied with life, that they have no incentive to want to get HM done. Plus, their fans and the Hollywood studios expect them to maintain their familiar appearance. If Hollywood wants them to have hair in a certain movie, a state-of-the-art hairpiece is provided for the shoot. All I know is that all these guys are mega-wealthy, and most or all of them are VERY successful with women (to the extent they want to be). Kelsey Grammer has relationships with one stunning young blonde after another. Michael Jordan is unhappily married, but is mega-wealthy and has to fight off beautiful women everywhere he goes. Billy Bob Thornton fooled around on ANGELINA JOLIE. Jason Alexander and Cal Ripken -- rich and happily married, thank you. The list goes on.
Expecting famous athletes or Hollywood stars to all of a sudden show up with full heads of hair from secret HM treatments is dumb.
On the other hand, the ones I really suspect are people like Bill Gates. His dad is a prominent attorney in Washington State, and is about a Norwood 8. So you know it runs in the family. And yet, Bill has nonetheless managed to keep his disheveled, but pretty full, head of hair into his 40s. Go figure.
If anyone is gettin' secret HM treatments, it's him.
