Ever heard of "reverse-engineering"? No? Then look it up. Posting almost ANY information about the results of trials, even saying whether you have evidence as to how a procedure works (i.e., follicular neogenesis vs. stimulation of dormant follicles) can be a MAJOR help to competitors. It gives them a place to start, to narrow down the focus of their research. Also, my main point wasn't that Gho is afraid of tipping off EXISTING competitors. He already knows Unger, Bosley/BioAmide, etc. exist. He can't do anything about them. The most he can hope for is that they work slowly, or that they have lots of distractions or money problems. What Gho is most concerned about (and this REALLY concerns him, as it does ALL of the players in the field) is potential ***NEW*** people getting into the race. Potential new, brilliant people who might have never thought of pursuing HM, but who might get tempted to do it, and MOVE VERY FAST, once they see it's feasible or that someone's made progress with it. I mean anyone from well-funded teams of dermatologists in the US (the US is Gho's biggest fear because he knows that the biggest talent pool in medicine is here, although the WILL to pursue cell therapy for hairloss hasn't existed in the US because medical hair restoration has been almost completely coopted by a powerful vested interest -- the HT industry.) Gho's (and Unger's, and all of the researchers') biggest fear is that if they disclose too much about their work, the CONCEPT will eventually collide with THE one person who will discover the "silver bullet" that will make it work best and fastest. They don't KNOW this will happen, but strategically, they have no choice but to focus their fears on just this possibility. This possibility exists, and is the one possibility that would be almost sure of robbing them of their market share. Therefore the laws of logic and business strategy -- something you obviously no nothing about -- dictate they must see this eventuality as the biggest potential danger. All they have to do to minimize this potentiality is to say nothing, or very little, about the scientific nature of their work or results. Since it costs them nothing to adopt this strategy, but this strategy could save them huge potential headaches in the future, they have no choice (logically) but to adopt this strategy, since the stakes are so high... ***this paragraph is laughable. How the hell would they "reverse engineer" the process if gho kept the technique as proprietary (means secret)? By alchemy? Are the other guys Bazan, Washenik et al so devoid of medical knowledge that they haven't figured out the same basic steps as Gho. The magic is in the details and the basic science is known by all. Keep the details secret and publish the results. No help to the enemy at all. Just the fear of getting further behind. And how do you know what Gho is concerned with? Do you consult with him on a daily basis? Maybe YOU have the agenda, keeping his name in front of the masses so his archaic punch graft HT mill lures the suckers from the good ole USA and they queue up in line to have their scalps punched open and hair placed every 2 linear feet all in the hopes of being first in line for his mythical HM while you collect a fat finders fee? ( I don't believe that but it sure sounds logical) And how would it be bad for us if new brilliant minds did enter the fray and bring new guns to bear on this age old malady? HMMMM? bad for your buddy Gho and your cut of the punch graft booty but good for us. (whimsical for sure but intriguing)
